Joel Arline was born in Thomasville, Georgia and graduated from Valdosta State University with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting in 1992. In September of 1997, he became a Licensed Certified Public Accountant.
Prior to opening his accounting practice in 1997, he gained experience at several companies. At a Fortune 500 Company, Joel was an internal auditor and worked extensively with outside auditors, Price Waterhouse. Joel moved to St. Simons Island in 1993 and worked with a Local CPA firm in Brunswick from 1993 to 1997.
Joel opened his accounting practice in October 1997. The practice, located at 1606 Reynolds Street is a full service accounting firm preparing tax returns (corporate, partnerships, trusts, estates and individuals), financial statement reviews and compilations, payroll and sales tax services and consulting. Joel has worked with clients at all stages from start-up to merger, sale or retirement.
Joel is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Joel holds several positions in the community: development committee and board member at Communities of Coastal Georgia Foundation, finance chairman at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, treasurer of the board at Heroes for Health, board member of Frederica Academy and board member for PillowGrace Project.
Joel resides on St. Simons Island with his wife (Alison) and two children (Pope and Helen) and enjoys golfing, traveling and reading in his spare time.
